Abu Dhabi Airport New Midfield Terminal Building

Abu Dhabi’s new multi-billion Midfield Terminal Building will significantly boost aviation sector in the UAE and increase the passenger capacity to over 30 million per year. With the testing now commenced, the new airport is scheduled for opening in late 2019. UPG Engineering was long involved with the construction of the new MTB by providing structural design services for a range of the MTB’s parts. Other than structural design of steel and glass structures, we provided foundations design, third party structural design review and verification services, blast resilience design studies, detailing and production of shop drawings for approvals.
