Doha Metro Gold Line Stations

The Doha Metro is the rapid transit system project in the Qatar’s capital city of Doha. It is intended to form a key part of the city’s larger transit network. The metro system will consist of four lines with a total length of 300 km, and around 100 stations across the network.

Stations design was selected for the attractive exterior shape simulating the interior of an oyster. UPG Engineering provided facade design services for three stations on the Gold Line, designing over 15,000 m2 of double-curved GRP facade and the supporting steel structure, with continuous support during the construction phase.
